Job description
The Java Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high performance, scalable, and secure enterprise applications. The role involves collaborating with business stakeholders, architects, and cross functional teams to deliver quality software solutions while adhering to coding standards and Agile methodologies. Key Responsibilities Application Development Design, develop, and maintain Java based applications and services. Write clean, scalable, and efficient code following industry best practices. Develop RESTful APIs, microservices, and enterprise applications. Participate in application architecture and technical design discussions. Software Engineering Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Perform code reviews to ensure code quality, security, and performance. Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and production issues. Optimize application performance and reliability. Database Development Design and develop database objects, queries, stored procedures, and integrations. Work with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL. Ensure data integrity, security, and performance optimization. Testing & Quality Assurance Develop and execute unit tests and integration tests. Ensure adherence to coding standards and software development best practices. Support automated testing and CI/CD pipeline implementation. Agile Collaboration Participate in Sprint Planning, Daily Stand ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives. Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA teams, and DevOps engineers. Provide effort estimates and technical guidance during project planning. Production Support Monitor application performance and troubleshoot production issues. Implement bug fixes and system enhancements. Support deployment activities and release management processes. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in Java application development. Strong programming skills in Java 8/11/17 or higher. Experience with object oriented programming principles and design patterns. Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
