# Job Description: Senior React Developer **Location:** Bengaluru **Experience:** 5+ Years **Employment Type:** Full-Time **Primary Skills:** React.js, JavaScript ## Role Overview We are looking for an experienced React Developer with 5+ years of experience in building responsive, scalable, and high-performance web applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in React.js and modern JavaScript, along with a sound understanding of front-end architecture and development best practices. ## Key Responsibilities * Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using React.js. * Build reusable components and front-end libraries. * Translate UI/UX designs into responsive and user-friendly interfaces. * Integrate front-end applications with REST APIs and backend services. * Manage application state using Context API, Redux, or similar solutions. * Optimise applications for performance, reliability, and cross-browser compatibility. * Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested JavaScript code. * Identify and resolve technical and performance-related issues. * Participate in code reviews and contribute to front-end architecture decisions. * Collaborate with designers, backend developers, QA engineers, and product teams. * Mentor junior developers and promote front-end development best practices. ## Required Skills * 5+ years of professional front-end development experience. * Strong hands-on experience with React.js. * Excellent knowledge of JavaScript, including ES6+ concepts. * Strong understanding of React Hooks, component lifecycle, props, and state. * Experience with state-management solutions such as Redux or Context API. * Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility. * Experience integrating REST APIs and handling asynchronous operations. * Familiarity with front-end build tools such as Vite, Webpack, Babel, or npm. * Experience using Git and collaborative development workflows. * Understanding of component-based architecture, performance optimisation, and secure coding practices. * Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills. ## Good to Have * Experience with TypeScript or Next.js. * Knowledge of Jest, React Testing Library, or similar testing frameworks. * Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development practices. * Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based deployments. * Understanding of web accessibility standards. ## Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
