Job Description – Senior Façade Engineer Department: Engineering – Façade Location: Rollecate Engineering Services Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore Reporting To: Team Leader / Technical Manager Experience: Preferably 7+ years in Façade Engineering Role Purpose The Senior Façade Engineer is responsible for independently handling façade engineering projects for Rollecate B.V. Netherlands, ensuring technical accuracy, quality, productivity and on-time delivery. The role also includes self-QC, technical coordination, supporting Team Leaders, mentoring engineers and contributing to continuous improvement of engineering quality. Key Responsibilities • Study project inputs including Sales LOB, contracts, architect drawings, IFC/BIM models, specifications and Rollecate standards. • Identify missing information or discrepancies between project inputs and communicate them proactively to the TL/Coordinator. • Independently engineer aluminium/uPVC windows, doors, curtain walls, sliding systems and fire-rated façade systems. • Prepare shop drawings, fabrication drawings, elevations, sections and technical details as required. • Apply correct profiles, glass, hardware, reinforcement, fixings, drainage, sealing and façade interface solutions. • Work with façade systems such as Kawneer, Schüco and other systems used within Rollecate. • Use AutoCAD and Logikal effectively and follow Rollecate's approved engineering workflow. • Perform complete self-QC and checklist verification before submitting work for TL/QC review. • Support QC of drawings prepared by other engineers when assigned. • Prepare technically clear RFIs and coordinate project-related technical queries with TLs and NL teams. • Monitor estimated versus actual engineering hours and communicate potential delays, blockers or scope changes at an early stage. • Minimise avoidable rework and repetitive NL QC comments through proper project study and First-TimeRight engineering. • Support junior/mid-level engineers through technical guidance, mentoring and knowledge sharing. • Participate in Rollecate Academy training, lessons learned and continuous technical development. Required Technical & educational Competencies • B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering. • Strong knowledge of façade engineering, detailing, and design principles. • Hands-on experience in engineering aluminium windows, doors, and curtain wall systems. • Good knowledge of façade profiles, glazing, hardware, fixings, interfaces, and related components. • Strong ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and façade drawings. • Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential. • Working knowledge of Logikal is preferred. • Experience with Kawneer, Schüco, or similar façade systems is preferred. • Good understanding of façade fabrication, assembly, and installation requirements. • Knowledge of relevant Dutch/European façade standards and regulations is an advantage. • Knowledge of BIM, Revit, and IFC workflows is an additional advantage.
